Pediatric Diseases

Gazi Hospital has been organized to provide examination, treatment and preventive health services for children and teenagers between 0-16 years of age. Beginning from birth, all childhood diseases are examined, tested and treated by experienced associates, pediatric health and disease specialists and physicians specialized in advanced branches.

Pediatric Health and Diseases

Starting from the birth of our children, all necessary follow-up and, when necessary, treatments can be done in our outpatient clinics as well as with hospitalization. In emergency medical situations, all of our emergency services in our units have staff and equipment that will provide adequate intervention for our children.

One of the most important goals of the department is not to forget the importance of breastfeeding in the baby’s development. Thus, while all our nurses and doctors are making efforts to ensure that all our babies are fed only with breast milk for the first 6 months, support is also given by the gynecology and obstetric departments. In addition, blood is taken from the heel of all our newborn babies (heel prick test), and phenylketonuria and hypothyroidism are screened.

Our babies are examined in the first week after birth, at home if desired, then in the first year with one or two months intervals, then after the second year with 6 months or 1 year intervals. In these examinations, the physical, social and psychological developments of babies are assessed and vaccinations are carried out taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
