Breast Aesthetics

Breast aesthetics covers a series of surgical procedures performed to change the breast size of women or to improve the shape and firmness of their breasts. Breast aesthetics is performed depending on factors such as congenital or age-related changes, weight loss or post-pregnancy changes, hanging or sagging breasts.

Breast aesthetic procedures include breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift and breast rejuvenation.

Breast augmentation aims to increase breast size using breast prostheses. Breast reduction, on the other hand, involves reducing the breasts to reduce discomfort or pain caused by large breast sizes. Breast lift is performed to lift sagging or hanging breast tissue and to make the breasts look younger and firmer. Breast resurfacing is used to reconstruct the breasts after mastectomy.

Breast aesthetic procedures are usually performed under general anesthesia and the duration of the procedure may vary depending on the type of procedure. The recovery process also varies according to the type of procedure and the condition of the person. After surgery, the patient may need to rest for a few days and avoid physical activities. There may be temporary side effects such as pain, swelling, bruising and tenderness in the post-procedure process.

Breast aesthetic procedures are permanent, but prostheses or implants may need to be replaced over time. In addition, regular breast examinations and healthy breast care are recommended after the procedure.
