Between 1995 and 2001, she completed her medical education at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine. In 2002, she began her psychiatry specialization at Istanbul Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital. Between 2009 and 2012, she completed her compulsory service at Rize University Training and Research Hospital. Following this, she worked as a psychiatry specialist in the field of psychosocial oncology at Istanbul University Oncology Institute and in the field of consultation liaison psychiatry at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Her areas of interest include psycho-oncology (psychotherapy of cancer patients), psychiatric problems related to chronic diseases, treatment and psychotherapy of psychosomatic diseases, spiritual and psychological psychology, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, EMDR, alcohol and substance use disorder treatment. She has academic publications and book chapters in numerous international and national journals.
