He was born on January 1, 1960, in Adana. He attended Adana Ismet Pasha Primary School, Adana Tepebaşı Middle School, and Adana Boys’ High School. After graduating from Ege University Faculty of Medicine, he served as a municipal doctor in Sarıyer for 2 years. He completed his specialization training for 4 years at Taksim First Aid Hospital. He got married in 1985 and has two children. He completed his military service at Hakkari Mountain Command Brigade. He served as chief assistant at Taksim First Aid Hospital for 5 years. He started working in the private sector after 1990. For the last 16 years, he has been serving as the chief doctor at Gazi Hospital.
